Cheeseburger Popover
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 med onion, chopped
- 1 – 1/2 Cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1 tub crescent roll dough
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees (or whatever oven temp given for your choice of crescent roll)
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion together over medium/medium high heat until meat is cooked through. Drain, set aside.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and create two separate squares, pinching the seams of the cutouts together (carefully) with your fingers as you separate the sections.
- Place the squares on a lightly greased (or parchment/foil lined) baking sheet.
- Add cheese to burger and stir to mix slightly.
- Divide the burger mixture and place 1/2 of the mixture in the center of each square of dough. Pull up the corners of each square towards the opposite corner (diagonally) and lightly pinch the seams together to make a popover.
- Bake at 375 for roughly 15 – 20 minutes, or until your desired level of golden brown.
- Serve with your favorite burger dipping sauce or simply ketchup and mayo combined.
